Trend Forward
Using voice mode, we explored the future. I began by asking for the top workforce trends for the year ahead.
Then I immediately pointed out that its initial answers were far too obvious. That they reflected the past, not the future. In other words, the default response delivered no competitive advantage.
Most people accept the first answer AI gives them. As a result, they get generic answers. However with better questions, we can direct the statistical models powering GenAI to reveal deeper insights –
Rewrite your answer, the audience needs something useful they don’t already know
That sounds like a theorist. Become a CEO. Get realistic about how the world actually works
Find more specific studies. Don’t guess. Quote sources
Critically, I then refined the polished yet raw output that AI gave me, by applying my own Futurist judgement and experience to sharpen the responses. Transforming the trends from calculated data into meaningful insights.

So whoever – or whatever – you’re talking to, explore beyond the obvious. Stretching your own thinking and those around you. That’s how the unremarkable trend of ‘Human-AI collaboration in daily tasks’ becomes the valuable guidance to ‘Sharpen judgement for workflow edge cases.’
Telling us not just what’s changing.
But how to change.
Ourselves.
